  • How do Oasis differ?
    • We are strictly non medical and interested in prevention. Traditionally, a senior enters the system of care after a hospitalization for a fall, injury or serious illness or mishandling their medications.
    • Oasis is not an employment agency, a private care agency, nor an assisted living.
  • Do you provide a written care plan?
    • We have a solid network of resources to do full need assessment to prepare a written care plan. Suitable activities and support are selected based on this plan. If someone has medical concerns, we work with VNA to address any needs.
  • What will be offered to members?
    • Members will be offered what is suitable for them. Workshops to adapt to new situations.
    • Finding new purpose when one isn’t able to do what he loves by adaptive skills.
  • How do you react in emergencies?
    • Our personnel are well trained to handle all types of emergencies. Paramedics are called to assess situations, respond, or address the necessity for further evaluations.
  • What special skills do you have that make you a good fit for the job?
    • We follow closely new developments in the field of dementia activities. We use an education program Care Academy to make sure everyone has on-going training. We also follow the Dice Program, a behavioral assessment system to assist clients.
  • Do you have a backup if you are ever unable to provide care?
    • Our resource team helps us facilitate all services.
  • What is included in the stated cost?
    • One can belong to the social OASIS Connected Living Solution at no cost, or select a basic membership cost $600/year to have an assessment and regular follow-ups. Additional needs will be established after the initial assessment, and referrals will be arranged if needed. Our resources include: Cognitive Assessment by qualified personnel, home assistance with care or home maintenance.
